Flu Vaccination Catch Up Clinics
Children’s Flu Vaccinations:
The Berkshire Immunisation team will have offered flu vaccination to all school aged children in the majority of schools across Berkshire by the end of this Autumn term (December 2019). The team are responsible for providing flu vaccination to all children from Reception up to year 6 in primary schools and for children in Reception upwards in SEN schools.
If your child was absent, unwell or you did not return a consent form for the can still access their flu vaccination at one of our community clinics listed below. All of our clinics are appointment only and can be booked via the contact number or email address detailed below (please note that the team work term time only – there will be no one available between Monday 23rd December 2019 until Monday 6th January 2020).
The flu season runs into early spring, so it is not too late to vaccinate your child in January. Please note that, unless your child is considered to be in an at risk group i.e. they have a medical condition that puts them more at risk from complications of flu: (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/806857/PHE_Protecting_Child_Against_Flu_leaflet.pdf ) they cannot access this via their GP, only via the school immunisation team.
